The Grand Rapids Dam Breakers are an alternate persona of the West Michigan Whitecaps, the newest of our “Grand Slam Brands. The brand is designed to bring awareness to the Grand River restoration project that is bringing excitement to our waterway. The project will restore the rapids back to a 2.5 mile stretch of the river in downtown Grand Rapids. The Whitecaps changed their name and logo to the Grand Rapids Dam Breakers for one game in 2021. The Dam Breakers have returned for encore performances every season since, and will return again on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

A portion of the proceeds of all Dam Breakers sales will go to Grand Rapids WhiteWater, a group dedicated to revitalizing the Grand River and putting the namesake rapids back in the Grand River for everyones enjoyment. Visit grandrapidswhitewater.org for more information.
