Handcrafted in the U.S.A., this special anniversary edition of the Open Road pays tribute to one of our most iconic hats and recalls the earliest version of the style. Introduced in 1937, the Open Road was designed to transition seamlessly from city to country and was originally sold with an open crown, which could then be creased to the customers liking. The 160th Edition returns the Open Road to its roots with a 4 open crown that can be hand-creased, a 2 bound edge brim, and subtle grosgrain band. Our proprietary 6X fur-felt blend gives the Open Road 160th Edition a substantial feel and stiffness, offering a secure fit and helping it retain its shape come rain or shine.

The 160th Anniversary Collection celebrates John B. Stetsons founding of his namesake company in 1865 and embodies his original commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Each limited edition hat is marked by a signature Five Dollar gold coin emblema nod to the price paid for the first Stetson ever sold, by John B. Stetson to a passing bullwhacker in the Colorado Rockies in the early 1860sas well as a 160 deluxe satin liner and custom leather sweatband.
